Pastor Sean Tyler is a native to eastern Nebraska, and the son of Pastor Kip (Lutheran Church of the Master, Omaha, NE) and Sherri Tyler.  He graduated from Millard West in 2005 and began his undergraduate studies at Dana College.  He graduated from Dana College in 2009 with degrees in History and Social Science.  Although he planned to use his degree to become a history teacher, GOD had other plans.  Upon graduation from Dana, Pastor Tyler was called to Bluffs Trinity Lutheran, north of Fremont, NE.  He continues to serve this congregation part-time. 
Though he began his call to ministry as a single man, Pastor Tyler married longtime friend Katie Kienow (Winnetoon, Nebraska) in 2011.  They currently have two children Almah (5) and Elias (3), with another on the way.
Pastor Tyler began gradually serving Peace Lutheran in 2013, becoming the called part-time pastor in 2014.  He finished his Master of Divinity through Sioux Falls Seminary in 2017, and was rostered among the certified clergy of LCMC at that time.   
Pastor Tyler and his family reside on an acreage north of Ames, Nebraska, where they currently raise Boer goats, sheep, cattle, chickens, and honeybees on the side.  His hobbies include fixing rundown buildings, tinkering with old automobiles, selling on eBay, and collecting (but not often playing) Nintendo games. 
As he sets down roots in the community, Pastor Tyler aims to express the great gospel of Jesus Christ.  He also shares the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection and coming kingdom with the restoration of all creation, through his love for his congregations and the community at large. 
Pastor Sean and his wife Katie also serve as directors for Royal Family Kids Camp, a yearly summer camp for children in the foster care system.
